Investment Objective
The objective of the Desjardins Northwest Specialty Equity Fund is to provide unitholders with long-term capital growth. To do so, the portfolio sub-advisors invest its assets mainly in equity securities of faster growing, small-cap Canadian companies.
Investment Strategies
To achieve the Fund’s objective, the portfolio sub-advisors pursue the following strategies:
 | Select securities of faster growing, small-cap companies with a competitive edge and a solid balance sheet;

 | Target companies with financially committed management teams and solid sales and earnings growth, as well as a healthy return on equity;

 | Seek securities with reasonable valuations;

 | Usually seek Canadian companies with capitalizations of less than $1.5 billion at investment time;

 | May hold funds in cash or invest in short-term securities in order to safeguard capital or maintain portfolio liquidity. |
